Tips for handling scratched, opaque glasses
When glasses appear dirty or scratched, people tend to replace them for fear of affecting their eyesight.
However, replacing a new pair of glasses can be expensive, while applying some of the tips below, you will have a pair of glasses that are bright and clear like new.
First, wash the glasses under running water to remove all fine dust on the surface. Then, drop a little dishwashing liquid on both lenses. Dishwashing liquid has a cleaning effect without causing irritation, so it does not damage the coating on the glass surface. Note that you should not use too much dishwashing liquid, nor should you use detergents containing acid or corrosive substances to clean the glasses.
The next step is to prepare a cotton cloth or soft cotton towel to clean the glasses. After cleaning, place the glasses under a gentle stream of water to wash away any remaining detergent residue on the surface. At this point, the glasses will be clean and shiny.
